Jovita Moore, anchor of the daily newscast of Channel 2 Action News on WSB-TV will serve as the chair of this year's gala. Dedicated to helping communities around the metro Atlanta area, Jovita donates countless hours working with civic associations, hosting events for community agencies and mentoring students. She's an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta, which founded CHRIS Kids in 1981. Kayla, along with Pat Cowan, Steve Moore and Mike Zimmerman, have been overwhelming crowd favorites. Specializing in Jazz and standards from the '40's and '50's, the group's new CD, Someone to Watch Over Me, is now out. Kayla and her ensemble are passionately-committed advocates for children and youth. Last year’s Ball raised more than $290,000, providing funds for continued service to 840 abused, neglected, and rejected children.
