STAFF

The staff of CHRIS Homes are highly trained professionals with expertise in a wide variety of treatment modalities that are effective in working with abused, neglected and rejected children, adolescents and their families. Licensed professionals oversee the provision of all services.

Chief Executive Officer: Kathy Colbenson, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 27 years experience. She has been CEO of CHRIS Homes since 1987. Under her leadership, CHRIS Homes has grown from five homes to include ten homes and a comprehensive community program.

Vice President of Operations: Phyllis Sanders, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 27 years of experience. Ms. Sanders has extensive management and clinical experience in a variety of public and private mental health settings.

Program Directors:

IKeeping Families Together Community Programs Director: Senovia Ross, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience. Ms. Ross specializes in working with families in crisis. Her area of expertise lies in helping families whose children have emotional and behavioral problems.

Rainbow Home Program Manager: Kyle Anderson, MA, is a clinician with 15 years of experience working with troubled children and adolescents in a variety of settings. Ms. Anderson has a particular expertise in the area of assessment.

Other:

Director of Counseling Services: Jody Martin, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 22 years of experience. Ms. Martin works extensively with children and their families. Her areas of expertise include sexual abuse, grief and loss, depression and working with children who suffer from attachment disorder.

Quality Assurance Director and Child Advocate: Jack Robinson, MS, has 20 years experience in the field of human services. Mr. Robinson's extensive treatment experience enables him to effectively support and advocate for the children and to be an effective monitor of the quality of the agency's services.

Makumgu Akinyela, PhD., is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Supervisor. Dr. Akinyela is an adjunct professor whose speciality is African American Studies.

BrIan Moyer, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Moyer provides psychological testing, supervision, counseling and heads up the team that provides outcomes measurements for all CHRIS program services.
